FAQs:

  • Where are your courses held ?

Our courses are held wherever you want them to be held. Right now, we dont have a "home" Our requirements are a classroom for lectures and discussions, and another 2 rooms for practicals (this is for large groups, > 15 in size). We also require a digital projector for projection from laptops and a screen. If you do not have a venue, we can rent a venue for you but the cost will be borne by course participants. Cost of refreshments and lunch are also not included.

  • Why can't you teach small groups ?

It depends on what you mean by small. 6 is probably the minimum we can do, as certain practical tasks need a minumum of 6 persons to carry out, eg litter carrying. Also with 6 persons, we are unable to give you maximum benefit from rotating your small group through different practical classes, maximising your learning experience.

  • Why is there a minimum and maximum class size ?

Minimum size : see above

Maximum size : our small groups for practical skills rotation are just that - small, so that you can get the most hands-on time. Anything more than 10 persons in a small group will make that less than ideal.

  • What should I bring ?

You should bring all the materials listed in your "to bring" list which will be sent to you upon confirmation of the class. These usually include a climbing rope or 2 half ropes, trekking poles, foam mats to be shared amongst group members, and your own first aid kit for discussion.
